Neo Soul Clothing Style

Welcome to the site! I’m Stephanie. Neo-Soul Style is fashion inspired by the Neo-Soul  artists whose music and fashion sense I admire. Generally speaking, artists such as Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and India.Arie inspire me.  Natural hair is a big part of my style so I will be including hair accessories too:-)  Although the  style showcased on this site is my preferred style, Neo-Soul Style refuses to be stereotyped.   It can range from bohemian to crunchy granola to sleek ultra modern to anything you desire. This blog is for you if:

1.  You rock natural hair (ok, this is optional)

2.  You crave the style of Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and India.Arie, but you want  to put your own spin on it.

3.  You want access to stores and online stores that sell Neo-Soul Style Clothing. I hope you love Etsy because it’s my favorite place to find unique clothing!

4.  You want to go along on this fashion journey with me. I don’t know where it will end. My tastes lie somewhere between bohemian/soul/fairy/goth/rock goddess. The point is to find your own style. :-)

  1. Hey there! I’m 20 years old and comming up in a world where music is changing for the worst! I was always into hip hop, rap, and R&B. But lately i’ve been turning my radio on stastions where they play old school, classical music, or when im really fed up, country music! lol Music plays a big part in my life, very natural for an African American individual. But Music is so poluted with money, sex, and drugs! I’m tired of it. To get to the point, I’m very fresh to this neo soul thing. At first I didn’t know where to start but my boyfriend took my phone and download a crap load of Erykah, Jill, and some Lauryn. I fell in love with music all over again. It was real. Not all about nonsence but real things that go on in everyday life. It’s REAL POETRY. Not all people can relate to gangbang’n, sell’n bricks, make’n babies, and drink’n goose until you’re too drunk to be alive! I went all the way. I cut my permed ends of and rock’n the natural me (5 months girl!). I love it. It’s the best thing for me. I’m getting to know the real me in the process. I’m a christian girl that love to have a lot of fun and just flat out being me. I want the neo soul look. Clothse, bags, hair products, accessories EVERYTHING. I’m thirsty for it. I was once afriad to be different. I wanted to be like the girls at school. Not anymore. Neo soul is not a trend. It’s a trend setter.
    Thnx for reading. Face me.

Hi, Jullisa! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the post. I too have always found the popular music on the radio to be a let down. I like for my music to actually say something! Glad you stopped by. I’ll face ya!
